SEO (Search Engine Optimization)

So, Why SEO?

If someone can’t find you on Google for the services or products your business provides, there’s not much of a point to having a website is there?

When it comes to SEO there are plenty of reasons to start and continue the process of bringing more traffic, sales, and leads in (using SEO). But really what it boils down to is increasing revenue, scalability, and profitability. Let’s discuss the benefits below.

SEO website development

Search engine optimization is a vital part of your online marketing.

The goal of SEO is to make sure you are ranking on the top of Google (and other search engines) for the queries and keyword phrases that are most relevant to what you sell.

So SEO can be viewed as a digital marketing activity that focuses heavily on increasing the quality and quantity of the people or “users” that visit your website each month.

When talking about “quality” I’m referring to the stage of the buyer journey that someone is in when looking something up or visiting your site (ideally, we want people at the end of the buyers journey visiting our site).

What is SEO? SEO is taking a little bit of consumer psychology, competitive analysis, and other technical variables and putting them together to find out what to rank for and develop something called a “keyword strategy”.

The keyword strategy is the foundation of SEO. It’s what determines what kinds of content to put out on your website and what topics or questions to answer within the content and site pages. Keywords and keyword phrases that you should be including in your strategy should be highly relevant to what it is you provide your clients or customers.

What Are the Different Aspects of SEO?

Off Page SEO

Off page SEO is the aspect of SEO that focuses on relationships with other websites. A lot of this type of SEO is focused on verifying your authority by getting credible sites with lots of traffic and links to point to you and validate your site and its content.

 Technical SEO

Technical SEO is probably the most complex aspect of SEO. It’s focused mainly on making sure things like site speed, mobile friendly content, indexing content (making sure Google knows your content is out there), site architecture, security and other backend settings are optimized.

Our Synthesized SEO Process for Getting You More Traffic From Google

When it comes to SEO, there is no one size fits all approach. Its all very contextual and deeply focused on achieving business goals which usually revolve around selling a specific product or service.

So the first thing we have to do when we start SEO is understand your objectives, budget, current digital footprint, current metrics and costs for marketing and sales your current situation, your budget and anything else we can identify on that will have the most impact on your business.

In other words, we want to focus all of our time, attention and energy on the highest value tasks that will bring the most return on investment.

After this is done we do a lot of research to find out what other businesses like yours are doing both locally and nationally to rank on Google. We identify the keywords they are trying to rank for, what their sales process/funnel looks like, what they are doing online on social and search (paid and organic), our goal during this process is to get a high level understanding of what Google favors and what it doesn’t for your specific business and what you sell.

Then we identify gaps and good opportunities using some cool tools that Google and other companies provide. We try to identify easy wins or “low hanging fruit”.

We start here and gradually work our domain authority level up in the eyes of Google and then eventually we take on the challenging and high volume keywords that are hard to rank for.

This is a very general and introductory explanation of how we approach and grow our clients traffic to their site using SEO. Check out our post on SEO if you’d like a more in depth understanding of it and how we approach it.
